I am a member of the Victoria County Master Gardeners who maintain a demonstration/display garden in our county. Many yeas ago, we established a daylily garden and are currently in the process of revamping it. The first daylily ever planted in our daylily garden was 'Bridey Greeson', named after a local daylily enthusiast.

One of our missions is to educate the public. As part of our revamping, we want to feature 'Bridey Greeson' to illustrate daylily hybridization and advancements made over the years. We want to obtain the parent plants of 'Bridey Greeson' and plant them beside it.

The pod parent is 'Create Your Dream' (Grace, 1997). I have searched for it, but the only possible source was the Louisville Area Daylily Society, but unfortunately they dismantled their daylily garden some years ago.

Does anyone have it or know where I can get it?

She has it noted as 'Out of Stock' but perhaps if you contact her and explain why you are seeking it, she may allow you the first available division when it comes available again... (?)

Great leads, Maurice. I know the Cottage Gardens and Simonton Bridge lists are VERY extensive, but they are both posted as PDFs, so individual daylilies don't show up there on Internet searches.

Nan, I only did a Google internet search and they all came up as found in pdf files. I usually do searches for named daylilies with the search terms "cultivar name" daylily. So in this case it was "Create Your Dreams" daylily. I then sometimes do a second search "cultivar name" "hybridizer name" but that usually is less effective. Sometimes I have to scroll through several pages of incorrect hits to find useful ones.

It is interesting that when I used double quotes around the cultivar name and the search terms "Create Your Dream" daylily I found the Cottage Gardens "hit" on the fifth page of hits.

But when I used single quotes around the cultivar name and the search terms 'Create Your Dream' daylily I did not find the Cottage Gardens "hit" even though I examined ten pages of hits.

Interesting! Well, I learned something.

One of the plants we divided Friday was 'Create Your Dream'. Larry Grace was at one time (years ago) a member of our club and the bed we reworked was dedicated to him. I will contact the member who purchased the extra fans and she is she wants to share (if there was enough). I only show one person bought that plant so there were not many divisions.
