I have haphazardly had decent luck with my artichokes. I started them all from seed. Earlier this year, I divided a couple and they did not do well. Since the weather is cooler now, do you think it would be OK if I divided them now? They are growing really well and I do not know what I am doing. And if it is OK to divide them now, do I plant one division per spot? Also, should I trim back the leaves that are touching the ground?
