I picked up 3 fans of Lady Liz from Harmon Hill in May of 2023. She bloomed from July 13-28 with 7 blooms. By October, she was at 4 fans.

2024 started the season with the same 4 fans. Lady Liz bloomed from July 7 - August 4 with at least 17 flowers. By October she was up to 5 fans.

This is a beautiful, large flower of a luminous pink with a wide white watermark extending out of a yellowish green throat. She is not very tall for such a big flower, I'm sure she was at the registered 27". And the flower is at least 6.5" if not larger. But it is a clean, clear, untroubled bloom. She stands up well against modern cultivars, not looking old fashioned in the least. The blooms never have a bad hair day, all opening beautifully, with no blotches or color weirdness.

The increase has been steady, if not spectacular. I'm getting the feeling this plant will really go to town in a year or two.

Overall, I give this flower a very high rating. She is an excellent garden plant and deserves to be at the front of a bed.

It's a nice flower, but the plant lacked vigor here.

I've grown Lady Liz for over 20 years now and have to say it is very variable. While it's not grown in a great location, it has company and all those hems do very well there. Some years the flowers are just plain ugly and other years they are gorgeous. I agree, it's not very vigorous and seems to suffer from rust some years.

Lady liz is a very pretty and dependable daylily here. It has made a nice clump here and is very showy. I rate it highly.

I really like the color and watermark of the blooms but it has underwhelming plant vigor here. It has been slow to increase and budcount has been disappointing. Without rebloom, it compares unfavorably with cultivars like Linda Gluck. And I haven't had much success setting pods in our heat (it blooms later than most). As a dormant, I suspect it prefers a more northern climate.
