My AV looks weird and I can't find any pics online to match to know what to do. It is all I have left of my mother's when she passed. I've had it for 3 years and it has been beautiful and bloomed twice a year nicely. Now the outside larger leaves are very strong but in the center, there is a small section like babies that don't seem to grow or do anything. I have attached 2 pics if I can. I appreciate your expertise on this or any knowledge about this. Thank you!!
P.S. the photos make the leaves look yellow however they are very green and seem to be reaching up..they are strong though..

Welcome! dawncurtis7
Have you fertilized or repotted since receiving the plant?

What kind of light does it get?

Here's an article about AV tight crowns. Not necessarily your situation, but an interesting possibility

If you haven't changed you growing practices in the last year, the most likely cause is cyclamen mites. Use a real miticide like Avid to control them. The organic 'essential oils' are not usually very effective.

Or make some leaf cuttings and start over.

Great! I did not see how to reply to your response. I hope I am doing this right. If not I want to thank you all for responding. Thank you. Your reference to the URL in your response did show pics of AV that look like mine! So I am trying to not over-water or over-fertilize first. I will let it alone for a couple more weeks no watering and when I do water it will be just plain filtered water and no AV food. I will see if this helps. Again thank you for your response(s).

The leaves look either chlorotic or sunburnt, which is why I asked those questions. I've experienced leaf curling with mites on other plants, but haven't experienced them on AVs. Here's another article about mite symptoms

@NMoasis..Yes...I may have been placing them in the sun that comes in from my front porch (not hot sun as it's very cold here in Northern GA) but still..I will place it away from that..plus I will check into the mites too. Thanks for the URL...
