We woke up this morning to around 3 inches of snow!

And the next couple weeks don't look much better, more snow with day-time temperatures barely rising above freezing, then more overnight freezing... all of which will put the brakes on my pips growing....
Anyway, I have 2 'Q's and the first one is 'Queen Josephine', a gift from a friend a couple of years ago.

That first year I had it it put up a fasciated scape but unfortunately the picture I have of it doesn't do it justice and no amount of editing pulled up those details.

The other one is 'Queen of the Seas' or Qots as I sometime refer to it.

I don't have any pictures of it at a larger size but let me just say it can look quite imposing. It is rather sensitive to direct sun exposure, the glaucous coating melts very easily and then it's just a greenie.

How about your Q's?
Cheers,

I also have two 'Q' hostas. Mine are:

'Quarter Note', Aug. 8
This lovely small hosta was a gift in 2019. Its red petioles hold the green leaves that are rimmed with a clean, white margin. It forms a green and white mound that makes a great backdrop for the intensely red flower scapes.

'Queen of the Seas', June 30
This is even newer to me, having been part of an exchange in 2022 when I received a one-eye division of it. It is an upright, slug resistant hosta that has deeply rippled blue-green leaves that are slightly cupped to show off the white underside. I fully it expect it to get very large indeed and its growth rate in the first two years has not disappointed.

'Queen of the Seas' Great hosta, large blue, heavy substance, this one has been in the ground since 2012.
