A friend blessed me with 'Wind Beneath My Wings' last year but I don't seem to have any pictures of the entire plant. Do like wavy blue leaf!

Well, them's my W's. Let's see what you have....

'War Paint' The first few years I only saw a green hosta because I was typically gone when it showed it's spring colors. Enjoy the flower stalk when it first buds out. In the ground since 2014

'Waterslide' Nice medium + size, great grower.

'Whirlwind' A favorite, enjoy the leaf pattern and flowers

'Wiggles and Squiggles' Fun small hosta that starts out bright yellow and morphs to green later in the year.

'William Lachman' Nice hosta, had to separate the green sports out 2 times since 2016

'Winter Snow' Large, good grower, does well with sun.

'Wishing Well' Beautiful blue hosta, this one took a hit on the voles, slowly coming back.

'Wizard's Illusion' Quirk color, greenish gold smal hosta

Seems I just posted the "W"s on the American Hosta Society page on FB this morning.

Here goes again.

'Warwick Curstey', July 16
On July 16 I took a round of pictures with my phone. Not only was it far more difficult to deal with editing them, but they all had a very bright yellow-green. I'll stick to my camera in future. I acquired this in a trade about 2006 and it grows well. I may divide it in 2025.

'Waterslide', Aug. 8, Aug. 16
New in 2024 and grown in a pot for the season. Must find it a garden location in 2025. Bloom Aug. 16.

Weedling, June 20
I call this Weedling. While it just popped up in my garden I'm 99% sure it's an OP seedling from 'Lakeside Zinger'. It's got tough little green leaves, some of which have occasional white streaks through them. Nice ground cover.

'Wheee!', Aug 27
I've had this amazing plant since 2012. I did have to do some tree root pruning in 2023 when a near-by sapling tree tried to put roots through it.

And the rest of the "W" hostas -
'Whirlwind', July 25
I have two divisions and this one, although it's divided from the other one, grows much better. It rarely blooms for me; so it was nice to see this bloom last summer. This is another plant I've had since the late '90s.

This is my other division of 'Whirlwind', also July 25. It gets less sun and is also closer to greedy trees and doesn't grow as well even though it's the original plant.

'White Christmas', June 20
I've had this one for close to 20 years and got lucky where I sited it as it grows quite well for me. But 2024 was a very bad slug year and this took a beating by July.
Thumb of 2025-02-17/ViolaAnn/502832

'White Feather', May 20
I'm not thrilled with this plant, never have been, but it was a gift. However, since the friend who gave it to me moved and only visits Ottawa at winter holidays, I decided to get rid of it and let someone else mess with it. I think I did well to keep it alive 7 years.

'Wylde Green Cream', July 25
Nice small plant that grows quite well. I've had it since 2008 and it's been divided a few times.

Guess what..... I found another one, 'White Feather'.
After a few years of my wife nagging me I finally gave in to her desire and ordered a bare root one on-line in 2023. Here it is one the 10th of May that year. I must admit to being fascinated by the ethereal appearance of the leaves as they were unfurling..

I'm hoping this year it'll pop-up the way it did the first year I got it, won't be long now...
Cheers,
