With a nudge from ViolaAnn this will be a post to highlight some of your own favourite seedlings.
The oldest seedling I have is what I call 'Tousled Hair'. It's out of sieboldii and 'Ray of Hope' and is from 2012. By 2014 it had grown on well enough to give a good idea of what it would look like, all higgledy-piggledy and the impression it gave was one of tousled hair. Hence the name.

Over the years I've grown it there has been only one year where the flowers on it opened up, typically it shows fused petals like you see here.

2019 was the only year I noticed flowers opening up, not terribly wide but no fused petals.

Thumb of 2025-02-19/PieterK/42e596
Even with the fused petals there is pretty consistent pod development but those are empty, of course.
Thumb of 2025-02-19/PieterK/15c3eb
There is a bit of red speckling near the base of the petiole and on the scapes as well.
Thumb of 2025-02-19/PieterK/d3970b
It has leafy bracts and shows a bit of waviness on some of the leaves.
Thumb of 2025-02-19/PieterK/33e819
It's been a decent grower over the years but I have not shared any divisions as yet.

My next one is an open pollinated seedling out of 'Sea Octopus' that I refer to as 'Octopus' Garden'. It starts the year out with yellow leaves but it's viridescent so it's mostly green by end of season. The earliest pictures I have are from 2019 but I figure it's from 2017. With seedling I like to keep I will try to somehow incorporate the parentage in the name if nothing more unique pops into my head. Being out of 'Sea Octopus' you see the connection.

Back in 2020 it developed the most unique flower display with leafy bracts at the top of the scape and the flowers sorta tucked in. Only happened the once of course.

Like its parent this is a good grower and I now have two decent sized divisions, one of which is in my front yard. That's actually quite rare for me seeing as 95% of my hostas are in containers but I noticed a spot under a rhododendron that would be a perfect spot for some hostas and in it went. I'll be sure to add some more pictures to this thread as the year progresses but that's it for now.

Please show us YOUR favourite seedlings!
Cheers,
Pieter

These are my seedlings. The named ones, I've already shared in the appropriate letter. They included:

'Amy's Choice' - 2007 'Korean Snow'
'Amyzing!' - 2009 'Touch of Class'
'Attitude' - 2012 'Christmas Pageant'
'Dancing With Leila' - 2009 'Last Dance'
'Don Clysdale'- 2016 'Tickle Me Pink' (registered)

'Emerald Fountain' - 2016 'Tickle Me Pink' (seriously thinking of registering this)
'Golden Nolan' - 2006 'September Sun'
'Heidi Ho' - 2013 'Spilt Milk'
'Joby' - 2010 'Déjà Blu' (registered)
'Lovely Leila' - 2008 'Unknown'

Then there are these:

Seedling - 2008 'Red Hot Flash' Aug 8
A seedling I just grow in a dark corner. Not a particular favourite, but it's in a hard place to get to behind my lilacs and near the side fence.

Seedling - 2012 'Lemon Frost' July 25
This is a real mini that I'm rather fond of. But I've never divided it. I should do that and try growing it in another location as well.

Seedling - 2013 'Touch of Class' Aug 27
This is a small green hosta with nice red petioles. I finally got it out of a pot and into the garden in 2023.
Thumb of 2025-02-20/ViolaAnn/f113ca

Seedling - 2014 'Emerald Ruff Cut' July 9, 2023
A nice yellow with a slight ruffle to the leaves. I've gone back to 2023 for a picture because in 2024, I potted it up into too large a pot and it didn't do well. I corrected it before I lost the plant, but it was close.
Thumb of 2025-02-20/ViolaAnn/164f36

Seedling - 2016 'Curly Fries' June 30
This looks a great deal like mama, but has plain green petioles and flower scapes.
Thumb of 2025-02-20/ViolaAnn/cc2804

Seedling - 2016 'Purple Heart' June 30
Nice purple petioles and scapes. A late season bloomer. I like this one. I had a name for it, but when I looked it up found someone had beaten me to it.
Thumb of 2025-02-20/ViolaAnn/ffac7f

Unfortunately, this one was smashed by the neighbour's tree on July 15. But recovered well by the end of the summer. July 17

Seedling - 2016 'Salute' Aug. 8
I've lost 'Salute', but it has produced a few nice seedlings for me, and indeed, if you look up the family trees of hostas, it has a lost list of impressive offspring. This is a very nice blue-green hosta, but nothing super special.

Seedling - 2016 'Spilt Milk' July 24
This looked a lot like my 'Milkmaid' for a long time, but has now exceeded it in size and looks a great deal like my 'Spilt Milk' did when it was healthy.
Thumb of 2025-02-20/ViolaAnn/4a8e51

Seedling - 2018 'Pixie Vamp' June 30
This is a light green mini that grows well. Coming into bloom, but there's a blue Clematis near it.

Seedling - 2019 'Electrocution' early June and Sept. 9
I REALLY like this one. Nice blue early in the season, showing off the 'Elvis Lives' heritage through its mama and with spiky leaves like mama.

Seedling - 2019 'Little Red Rooster' June 30
I had an earlier seedling from LRR that had smaller leaves and grew like a weed. Unfortunately, I accidentally took my last division of it to a plant sale; so someone else is now enjoying it. But this one has larger leaves and has always been an unusual colour of green.

Seedling - 2019 'Salute' seedling July 24 and Aug 8
This is a seedling from an earlier seedling of 'Salute' which I no longer have. I divided this one up in 2023 and was planning to give it all away, but then took a look and decided to keep it. It seems to have a nice upright habit.

Nice red petioles and quite yellow.

Seedling - 2021 'Charlotte's Web' June 30
Was still streaked in 2024.
Thumb of 2025-02-20/ViolaAnn/5c4c8b

Seedling - 2021 'Lakeside Mom' Aug 8
Nice streaked seedling in 2024. But there were two distinct eyes that looked quite different. One may be solid green this year. It will need dividing.

Seedling - 2021 'Neat Splash' seedling Aug 27
I was sent seeds from 'Neat Splash' by Chris Wilson of Hallson Gardens in 2013. I managed to get one very, very unstable streaked seedling from them. I no longer have that seedling, but I collected some seeds from it and this (also unstable) streaked seedling came from them. Part of it looked really wonderful in 2023, but was not as impressive in 2024. I wonder about 2025.

I have lots of volunteers, these are 2 that I like.

This one comes up early it stays a bright yellow most of the year, think it's a seedling from Volcano Island.

Not a clue where this one could have come from, extremely dark blue,
almost a black under certain conditions. Took a hit from some voles, hoping it comes back strong.
