I'm attempting to discover what this is. I looked at the devils backbone plant suggested by other members but it doesn't match there is no zigzag in the stems.

Does yours 'bleed' white when you cut it?
If you look at the plants in this link, not all have zigzags:
Devil's Backbone (
Euphorbia tithymaloides
)

Fww, that original question is 8 years old, even thought it is could be the same plant (?).
Perhaps
@Calif_Sue
can split this into its own thread?

I have that plant and I believe the ID is correct: Euphorbia tithimaloides.

Euphorbia bracteata. Straight stems to 8'+. Will grow in full sun with almost no water, even here. It will also take regular garden watering.
