Jo Ann, I was thinking of getting a pair of columnar apple trees. The ones I have seen on-line and in catalogs are supposed to stay small enough for my yard, and I might be able to keep them going here.

Debra, We just bought these this spring.Stark Brothers. They stay upright and slim with apples forming around the trunk.DD grew them at her old house.
They are so neat in spring when they bloom.
DD didnt have any luck with columner apricots and apples in tubs.I think they froze in the winter here.
Let me know if you have any luck with them.
