The leaves and blooms remind me of Osteospermum but that's only a wild guess because it's been many years since I've grown Osteospermum.

Edited to add: I guess the name has been changed from Osteospermum ecklonis to Dimorphotheca ecklonis.

Many thanks for your suggestion.
My app Plantnet suggests this....however all pics on www show the centre as having black in it.
No sign of black in mystery flower.
I find Asteraceae id so hard.

The flower resembles this online photos of Arctotheca calendula but I don't know if the leaves are a match:

All suggestions welcome.
Thank you.

Quote www..."Capeweed (Arctotheca calendula) has elongated deeply lobed (i.e. lyrate-pinnatisect) leaves with green upper surfaces and whitish hairy undersides. Its flower-heads are relatively large (2-6 cm across) with dark purplish or black centres and 'petals' (i.e. ray florets) 10-25 mm long."

Sadly leaves look more like a dandelion.
The calyx is not a match either.

Well done finding that list.
I will work my way through it...and report back later.
Thank you!

By the way all daisies are in Asteraceae.
Quote www.....
"Asteraceae is a large family of flowering plants that consists of over 32,000 known species in over 1,900 genera within the order Asterales."
