I am planning on moving from Calif., to Utah. Do I have to have my balcony plants inspected before I go?
One is a huge fern, two are decorator trees. The rest are succulents.

I don't think so. In the past you couldn't take plants into Calif but, to my knowledge there is no such rule in Utah....no checking stations.

I don't know about Utah but I moved all mine from MD to GA and we were even pulled over the side of the road and a state trooper stopped to check on us and my trailer was loaded with plants and he never said anything

Thanks for the info. Plants are a part of my family, and I would hate to leave any of them behind.

We hauled a bunch of plants from CA to OR, then from OR to WA, and no one said a word. I think the primary concerns have to do with fruit trees and fruit and the bugs that infest them.
Confidence is that feeling you have right before you do something really stupid.
