I've been experimenting with combining Heuchera, Hostas, Hydrangeas, and Hardy Ferns with plants like Sedum, Delosperma, and Sempervivum. It sounds like it wouldn't work, but they look so good together.

They seem to enjoy the same lighting here. i just put the drought tolerant plants in well-drained soil in a hollow log and the others in the ground for more moisture.

This is pretty shady in the morning and gets a little sun in the evenings. I wish I had more spots with these conditions!

Thanks, ya'll! I'm working like a mad man trying to get my garden in shape before school starts back in a few weeks. I'm heading down to Florida for a little vacation next weekend. I hope I can clear out the pot ghetto by then. I need to stop ordering things, but I had to have a few more last week. LOL.

I agree I am still working on my pot ghetto. I bought a new shelf and more pots if that tells you anything. I am taking pot ghetto to a higher level because they need to be 're-potted ghetto'. Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing

Lovey dubby For sure! I have a love/hate relationship with my pot ghetto. They are like my new family, I keep re potting them and making them new tags. It's too hot to plant them now but as long as they are happy then so am I. After you go back to school, I will be on a working vacation. Whistling
