Well Bev there is no doubt what would happen to them if I left mine outside. Tuff love is throwing them outside in my weather. I have threatened a couple and told them if they did not act right I would put them out there. They look out that window and get scared straight. ![]() Sure Lynn you say that snow is pretty until you have to shovel the stuff. We have been lucky the last 2 winters and have not gotten much snow until Feb. But we are due for a kicker. |

I don't like the look of dirty snow...you know, that look and color snow gets when the humans come in contact with it.. ![]() |
I used to live in Eastern Washington, high desert. There were winters when there wasn't a fence line to see. It didn't bother me when I was younger, now I don't like the idea of having to deal with snow. But I sure like to look out at it. ![]() |

I love to see it Christmas Eve that is the only time I love to see it coming down. It is not as bad for me personally because I do not have to go to work but people that have to brave the weather to get to work I feel for them. I hit some ice and went under a truck and had to lay down on the seat so I was not decapitated 20 years ago. The truck was spinning and I went flying toward the truck. Since then I only drive the Jeep in the winter and if it is snowing I do not go out. I make myself happy playing with the plants inside and ordering more plants. Sit in front of the fireplace and enjoy plant shopping. The weather is changing so really do not get the bad weather we use to get. Usually by Thanksgiving we would be snowed in until March. I remember Halloween having to wear boots and winter coat over my costume. Now it is in the 60s and 70s until Jan. Then for a few weeks and off and on until March we get into the 30s and 1 to 4 inches of snow. I got all my plants in pots and on the patio. They should be able to stay there and get started growing until Oct. |
Wow, that is some big changes in weather patterns. Your winters sound so much more manageable now. I love the idea of sitting by the fire shopping for plants. |

Yes Lynn a couple of the growing maps are saying we are a zone 7 now. I am not testing it because the pic I posted was one of those freak winters when we had 20" snow storms 3 times that winter. |
It seems to be getting a little warmer here also. |
