It's a real fig!
Now what? Will it ripen on the plant?

If you're bringing the whole plant inside, won't the figs ripen inside as well as out? I've never grown figs, but I do recall visiting an older Italian couple living at the edge of downtown Seattle (lower Capital Hill) with a wonderful fig tree and tons of fruit. Sadly, I believe their little 6 unit apartment building is now a parking lot.
I want to live in a world where the chicken can cross the road without its motives being questioned.

I am new to figs so I'm not sure how long to mature and ripen. Anyone?

They ripen faster in the heat of the summer , but I have some that size (second crop) and hope they will get there before it gets too cold. Mine are in pots too and will have to come inside also.
Keep believing ,hoping,and loving
