How To Divide Daylilies

By Char
October 19, 2013

There is nothing more glorious than a large daylily clump in full bloom. At some point these large daylily clumps will need to be divided. The most common question I hear from garden visitors after "When does my daylily need to be divided?" is "How do I divide my daylily?"

Thanks Ann, it is one of my seedlings I've been growing for several years. Hope to line it out in the spring, fingers crossed it will pass the final line out test for possible registration & introduction.

If it does, I'm sure I can't afford it but if it doesn't then I would LOVE to buy it. Does that make any sense? Hilarious! I don't care what tests it fails; just to see one of those breath taking blooms per year would make it all worth it.
