I'm thinking that Orchid40 isn't clear about adding photos to the Database? Maybe?

Orchid40 is a new member and with this saying Plant Database Forum maybe she thinks she has to upload her photo's here? I've submitted proposals to move some over to the database.

That's what I was thinking was going on. I noticed a couple of people have proposed moving photos over to the database. Perhaps a gentle nudge over to the Database upload photo area? Some nice photos!

I'm sorry, I seem to have not understood at all. I did a search for the irises by name and when they were not found, followed the instructions from there. I'll make sure I do the right thing next time!

I think a simple search might not be enough in some cases. The search engine wouldn't have found Mauveover because the name of the iris is Mauve Over. I always use the alphabetical listings to search for plants. In this case, I'd go to this page and click on the "M" at the top:

Hang in there Orchid - once you get it all figured out, it will become like second nature. Your photo additions are lovely.

No need to apologize, you are doing just fine. As I mentioned in the other thread, any registered iris is almost certainly already in the database here. Whenever I can't find an iris, it's almost always a spelling issue on my part.

The easiest way to find an iris is to go to the Iris Database homepage (The Irises Database) and start typing the name in the search box in the "Search and Browse" area and the search engine will provide a list of possible matches, just click the appropriate one. If the iris you are looking for doesn't show up, try some variations in spelling. It's in there somewhere.
