Oh, look at those cuties! Jim, the beaches here are totally different. Each one is in a small bay, and lined with trees with nice shade. I'll have to do a series of beachie photos. Islands are cooler that Florida, also. The sea gets to the low 80's in the late summer, fall, and that keeps the Island at about 87 degrees. Not like Florida's 101 degrees and no shade! I liked living in Ft Lauderdale, tho' I remember it as a chilly place in the summer-- because of the air conditioning! Melissa |

I loved the underwater pictures. They were all beautiful. i think the islands would be heavenly. |

I wonder where all the folks on Wilfreds family are? I guess until Wilfred shows up this thread may be slow huh? |
Ridesredmule Feb 11, 2010 12:13 PM CST |
Probably so, I'm hoping he will be here soon. Want to learn more. He is an excellent teacher. |
coconut Feb 11, 2010 12:36 PM CST |
I'll be amazed if he comes here. He doesn't have time anymore. Something changed for him around the Christmas holidays. If you have a specific question, ask on Dave's Garden. He's not a computer guy at all. He doesn't even have his own email! OK, Melissa, missing him, too. |

I got a bit concerned, but feel rather proud, because he directed some one on D.G. to contact me about how to plant his Desert Rose seeds! You have to admit, that's strange for Wilfred Now it's the blind leading the blind. Actually, I think I do have the hang of it, but unlike Wilfred I'm a terrible teacher. |

Oh Oh, I think I've been kicked off of D.G. Tried five times and it comes up,"this link appears t be broken" Anyone else having a problem? ![]() |
coconut Feb 11, 2010 3:21 PM CST |
No, and I'm sure you're still there! The LAST thing they want is to lose people. They've added some things today, perhaps you tried right when they were fiddling with it. There were photo issues a little while ago, but there's no problem now. Go try your link again, and if it doesn't work, try in one more hour. They've added search engine things, and a place to buy Dave's Garden Tshirts and stuff. |

A few posts back, someone asked about SuperThrive. A friend just brought me some from the States and I used it, as directed, on almost all my tropicals, including DR's and hibiscus. Whether it was that, or just a lucky combination of sun, rain and mild temps, I don't know, but things are blooming like crazy. I Googled SuperThrive and no one seems to know exactly what's in it, other than "vitamins and minerals." It seems to work best on plants that are not exactly thriving. Chaos |

That is encourageing. i may have to increase my medicine dropper. I scared to use it strong for fear of burning. Thank you ,Chaos |

Melissa,Good Morning, I thought the ROFL was a guy putting lather on his face shaving? How dumb is that? |
kareoke Feb 12, 2010 7:57 AM CST |
Good morning, I was just at that other place, they must be having some kind of problems I always got in right away but this morning it took forever to come up, I even restarted my computer, even tho it does that by itself every morning ar 5 am. then when I got in it was so slow I finaly gave up. I agree with you Malissa I don't think Wilfred will come here,I got the impression from emails that he has a hard time doing different things, and I believe he was proud of himself for realy getting to know so many people in DG That little guy rolling on the floor laughing is cute but at first look I thought he was putting coffee in the microwave ![]() Doris |

Gee Doris, your finding your way around a lot quicker then I did, takes some getting used to, but I'm spending a lot more time on this one then the "other" Have you visited the smiley thread yet, it's a lot of fun, if you go be sure to read all of it from the top down to get a sense of whats going on. Funny all the different ideas about the rofl smiley. I wish my poor DRs were looking prettier, but no photos for right now. How about a new thread soon, this one is getting awfully long! OK. and DG is getting lots of changes, going very commercial, and there are still a lot of new folks just showing up. Whenever they work on the site, it gets buggy. Too bad they don't fiddle with it in the middle of the night, but their IT workers might all be in India! OK, see you-all again soon. And later today, a new thread. Melissa |

Hum, a better picture, I was just diving this morning, both of these are from about 85 feet deep, so they're rather dark, the camera can't see very well. . The long skinny fish, a Trumpet Fish, was following the Spanish Hog Fish hoping for a meal if the hogfish stirred up some little critter while hunting.. |

Doris, see: http://davesgarden.com/communi... Dave is having to rename ALL the photos ever posted on Dave's garden, poor guy! Sometimes when he clicks something, there's a bit of a glitch, and folks like you get an odd thing happen. This-all is still just him doing the transition off there to here. An Orange Elephant Ear Sponge, and soft coral, no not a bush, a colony of coral polyps Melissa |

I'm not sure about a new thread! I just go to first unread and it takes me right down to the bottom, seems easy enough! ![]() |

Beautiful Pictures Melissa. How wonderful to be able to do that. Got to go see the painted ones. Charleen |
