I believe this is one of the Lampranthus species of "ice plant". A common freeway planting in So. Cal.

Aaah, Thanks Carol! I took the photo's when we were in the San Diego area last August. I can't remember if these were at Balboa Park or the Point Loma area! Thanks so much for your help with the ID!

After finally remembering the common name (hotentot fig) I have to correct myself... it is Carpobrotus edulis. Sorry I misled you!

Oh, no problem ... I appreciate your help! I see photo's in the database: Hottentot Fig (Carpobrotus edulis) of a yellow flowering type ... I will add my photo's shortly. Thanks again for your help!
