I found a small selection of thornless blackberries, blueberries, etc at Lowes on sale for $5.00 for 1 gal pot. They had nice kiwi also, 1 male 1 female per gallon pot but they only had a variety and you need at least 2 different varieties for cross pollination.

I am a huge fan of Lowes. I have made friends with one of the garden managers and she will order special requests for me. I also LOVE their clearance rack. I patronize Lowes over Home Depot solely due to that clearance rack (whether I'm there to buy plants or tools).

Yeah that clearance rack can yield some treasures. I have friends who frequently purchase entire racks...
They also - in my area at least - sell succulents THAT ARE PROPERLY LABELED !

I think I know who that friend is! I hope he bops over here more often. He is a wealth of knowledge.
Oh my gosh, you are so right - proper labels count for a whole lot. I agree, Hetty.
Good morning, by the way!

I believe you - I think there are a few of those folks! Several times I have gone into Lowes, looking for something that I knew was there the day before and can't find it anywhere. I'll ask the manager and she'll say, "oh we marked that down this morning and someone bought the whole rack!"

I buy things off the rack but have never found or needed anything enough to buy the whole rack.

Home Depot here tosses theirs in the trash and the dumpsters are inaccessible so no one can take them out later.
I have yellow lilies coming up for the fifth year in a row that I got from Lowes' clearance rack at $0.50 a pot. Generally get annuals, but have some dianthus and gerberas on their third years, and two agapanthus on their second and fourth years, respectively.
You can tell a lot about a person by the way they handle these three things: a rainy day, lost luggage, and tangled Christmas tree lights.
