oh yes, when Rita decides she is going to plant something, she's going to do it all the way. Bare ground and empty containers don't stand a chance around her! Big Grin

Oh Debra, that is just awful. I feel bad, because we've had close to twice that amount in rain this year. Doesn't seem possible for either of us.

Hoping that the 10% chance of rain doesn't arrive, like it did yesterday. Honestly, I can't remember having only a 10% chance, and actually getting rain, until moving here. We've got a 10% chance for the next few days, and we really need some dry weather.

So sorry about the lack of rain Debra! Crying Group hug

Mike, nice crocus.

I used to have a fair amount of crocus years and years ago before my garden makeovers and putting in the raised beds. Slowly just about all my crocus disappeared. I decided that would not do, I would have crocus again.

So last fall I planted literally thousands of all different types. I had planted some the year before also so that now I really do have lots of crocus again.

I am really happy that I did because after the long winter they are the first, or among the first, things to bloom. And after winter I am so ready to have flowers again.

Crocus do make a nice impact if you plant lots of them together.

dare I say it ... I wouldn't mind a burst of snow and winter hibernation right about now ... I'm used to seven months of winter (Minnesota childhood), not just three short ones!

... flash forward to 20 minutes ago ...

... que sound effects ... "kaaah-boooom!" ... wait for it .... "downpour, rain, armeggedon"... then, just as quickly, total calm and sunshine.

in my six years of unshakably mild northern cali near-desert weather, i am now one really spooked out woman who's thinking "be careful what you wish for".

can you spot what is Wrong with this picture!? one of these things does not belong with the others...

Thumb of 2014-04-01/chalyse/f042c1 May have to enlarge to see the swarm of abominations...

Mother nature is playing April Fools tricks on us today; next time Rob tells me I'm blaspheming I will listen up! I guess it was pay-back time for me ... blinks and peeks at Debra and Linda and slowly puts finger to lips ... run for cover, run! Blinking
