Dahlianut in the past I grew blueberries in pots. I planted them in almost straight peat moss. That made them acid enough for their liking. Hilarious! Your plants are beautiful. That little plant you have that just blooms one day looks alot like the rain lilies we grow here that pop out after the summer rains. Thumbs up

Luv those little fleurs. I first thought they were crocus.
This is so nice that when our gardens in AZ are waning in the heat we get to see Dolores and Calgary in color!

Well that last post sure came out kewl (although I have no idea how in hoot I did that Big Grin )

Anyhoo this is a really interesting chionodoxa "Pink Giant' which is not giant and you can see from this pic that is reverting to blue after 3 years. PSHAW I say to the breeder Glare
Thumb of 2011-05-10/dahlianut/1bf570

In all fairness, the soft pink is very prettiful and different for a chionodoxa

I have 3 peonys Aguane. Although methinks I have mucked up one of the two new ones by planting it too deep, sigh. I will post pics when they bloom. This is the double red that during its life has been completely buried by skunks one spring; stomped on by the fence builders another year and still does this.... believe or not blooms late June; early July Big Grin

It has it's own alcove so methinks it knows it's well luved. It's one of the first plants I put in the garden when we bought the house because my beluved EMoo (my parents) had double red peonys along the side of the house where I grew up Lovey dubby

Not tradition cuz I don't believe in that at all. Just recreating a luvly thing that was lost with that house when they moved. I'm a forward person but when I looked at that spot there was an echo from that time that I wanted to recreate. It's very sensical if you think about it Smiling
