Taken as a single plant they dont seem like much but I love the neutrals and use them as background or companions for other varieties that need to show off. Ring Around Rosey ![]() Scandanavian Girl ![]() |

Neutrals -- hmmmmm -- interesting description. I'll have to look through my pics and see if I have any that I'd consider neutral in color. Thoughts become things -- choose the good ones. (www.tut.com) |

Like brown? I love brown iris. I only have 'Huckleberry Fudge' and it has never bloomed for me. I had 'Brown Lasso' but it did not make it through two years of drought. I will replace that one. I know Mary Ann. Had several nice days and not its time to batten down the hatches. I hope we get some rain at least not just wind and lightening. I am watering the garden with soaker hoses already. I like a lot of neutral soft colors in the garden the past few years I have been adding a lot of Whites and light pinks, I think they make everything around them with bright color really pop out they are good to use beside real dark flowers they play off each other well and there are some with really unique neutral colors out there that go well with anything here are some good ones from the past couple years . Brad - Have you had any issues with "Famous Last Words"? It has struggled mightly for me. I got it as a bonus from Joe Ghio. The other irises from that order have taken off (Enjoyment, Engagement Ring, Cardinal Rule, Polite Applause). I like his stuff the best of the current crop of hybridizers. ![]() |

Beautiful photos, Brad. In the second garden shot, of course my eyes are drawn to the orange -- and the purple and white in the background. Can you identify those for me? Thoughts become things -- choose the good ones. (www.tut.com) |

I love that background purple/white combo, too. ![]() It’s okay to not know all the answers. |
