These beans were sent to me as 'Mennonite Purple Stripe' but they don't seem to match photos online. What do you think? Anyone recognize these beans?![]() ![]() I garden for the pollinators. |

@joseph might know. He has a good eye for this type of thing. The only thing I have learned from reading about beans is that over time, there could be some cross pollination; what starts out as 'Mennonite Purple Stripe' in planting seeds from the original package could look different in the saved seeds at the end of the season. * Sunset Zone 28, AHS Heat Zone 9, USDA zone 8b~"Leaf of Faith" |

That looks very close. The sender also noted, "dry pole bean". I hope that's it. It looks good. I garden for the pollinators. |

No, There are just too many beans that look alike. I also don't grow dry pole beans, rarely dry beans of any type. My experience in beans is pretty limited. |
