Out by the road I have a berm with various plants on it, and I'd like to grow Kwanzo on it to add color and interest. It's an area that is poor soil, completely neglected, and there's no chance of escape (concrete on one side, cows on the other!)
So, does anyone have Daylily (Hemerocallis fulva 'Kwanso') that they could send me a few of? I'd be interested in either paying you, or else I can perhaps come up with some things from my garden that you might be interested in. If you've got it, shoot me a tree mail and let's talk.

I struck up a trade with another member and I sent a box of irises in exchange but actually haven't heard anything from them since I sent the box. Hopefully they'll come through and send their side of the deal but if not I'll contact you!

I got 'em. I just needed to be a little patient (something I'm not good at!) Got a large flat rate box stuffed full. There might be a hundred fans in there. I'm really happy.

You'll enjoy them Dave, they're much livelier than H. Fulva. Quite a few folks have them along my Mom's street (in the city section between the sidewalks and street). They fit in perfectly with the historic homes and not so historic homes as well. I think they're beautiful flowers, a very cheery clump.
My specimen is doing fine where I planted it and I'd hoped for the rampant root multiplication I was warned about but so far it's content with it's 3'x3' area. On the other hand, and other side of the shed is a Fulva I cannot control. I've dug it out several times and it just keeps reappearing. Trying to make sure the roots don't intertwine with "Lilting Belle" which was a better choice for the location. Only mildly annoying but I don't want it. Easy enough to differentiate both by leaves and scapes, I'll keep chopping away LOL.
Haven't paid much attention this year but if it has indeed stretched it's legs I'll take some pics but this Kwanzo has been pretty obedient over the past 5 years.
