lucky shots--I have several thousand more images to sort thru to find a few more but there are gonna be some great ones, I just know it --because blind pigs can sniff out acorns, or something like that anyway
It's the sentiment that counts more than anything. I'll keep posting them just because I think bees are super cute and even less than stellar pictures of them are still cool.
No acorns necessary to encourage this blind pig (check out the March and April bee threads)
Mostly, I catch a lot of bee butt, and while they are still fascinating buried in flowers with their butts hanging out, I am especially fond of their cute bee faces. I try for those and only accidentally catch them in flight.
here's one in the catmint
and in the horehound (Marrubium rotundifolium)
It does not have very attractive flowers to me, but the girls find them irresistible for a little nectar pit-stop in their rounds
I love, love, love the second photograph, first row.
It isn't goofing if you are posting such beauty, it is enlightening and educational and endearing...and I can rationalize anything, so just let me know what else you want me to help with. (still is true, though )
Thank you Debra,
digital auto-fire is the only way to go to attempt to catch flying bees for your enlightenment, education, and endearitude (also need help rationalizing my abuse of the English language)
