There is an add that appears over in the left blue border at times that advertises Kwanso daylilies for sale. (Didn't know anyone actually bought it) it is my wife's favorite, always just think of it as a gift plant. The add states that even though Kwanso is referred to as a Diploid it actually has three sets of petals....
Now I am not that knowledgeable about the science of daylilies, but don't they have the term double and Diploid confused?
Also I thought the one with the triple set of plant segments was called Flore Pleno and not Kwanso?

Yes I think they have the terms confused. I haven't seen the ad you are referring to but I don't know if everyone gets the same ads.

I think Kwanso is a triploid, if I remember correctly. Just did a google search, and that is what it says on several pages, but I'm not sure if it is accurate information.

I should have just checked the database here instead! It's listed as a triploid there as well.

That is a beautiful bloom! I always seem to get Flore Pleno and Kwanso confused.
