oh -- what is that sticking out the side of the ladybug?? (thought it was something else attacking it...)

I thought the same thing Sandy. What happened to the ladybug?

That is her wing. It looks like something happened to her right side as her red color and dots have turned brown and her wing is stuck out. I let her be after I took the picture. I only thought for a second to "put her down", but for some reason it didn't seem right for me to do such a thing

Nature is never cruel. Nature just is.

For some I suppose nature is not cruel, just mindless, but it certainly seems cruel in a lot of instances.

Cruel or not cruel, it definitely is not always pretty ! (but it IS always interesting )

Humans are most likely the only beings that think about nature being kind or cruel. Yet we are the worst offenders for fighting against nature and the natural way of life on earth.

I thought that was our "nature". To have a brain and think and determine what things are kind and what things are cruel, are we really offending nature by being what we are? Too deep for me, just had to throw out the question. I think of humans as being very cruel, but also as being very kind.

I think the human race works way too hard at denying that they are a part of "nature"

Politics plays a big part in that, and I don't think we want to go there...
