Looks like Viola affinis; I see a seed capsule in the second image.

Certainly a violet, although it's just about impossible to say which species without the flowers. Might not be that easy even with the flowers. Whistling

Might thoughts exactly Kent. I count at least 24 species of Viola that are documented in Minnesota.
