I received a free packet of seeds for Mexican sour gherkins. Planted them in March. Eagerly awaited the first to ripen so I could taste it. Dug up the whole plant and gave to my goats. Terrible tasting. Letting winter squash take over the area.

Agree, don't care for them myself. Their best use is as a pickle when immature. http://modernfarmer.com/2013/11/coolest-cucumber-never-met/

Well, I only have things in my garden I like. No room for any acquired tastes.

And I laughingly agree. I composted the plants when they started producing ~ no goats to toss them to here. I also passed the extra seeds on to another victim. Rolling on the floor laughing

There's a reason they were free, I think.

I guess I can take that one off my list of plants to try...

And put it on the weed list. I would like to know if anyone likes them. Has to be someone.

I don't think I shared mine with you, it's been many, many years ago. Hoping I'm off that hook... Whistling
