I picked up this beauty this morning and I love it. Have any of you grown it and do you have any advice for me? I'm looking forward to see what color the flowers will be. Also, will I be able to overwinter it in my apartment like I have done with regular geraniums? Thanks for any advice.

I have this one. I grow it in morning sun. I know the color of the bloom do you want me to tell you or do you want to be surprised? Maybe you have goggled already? This is one of my favorites. It is just like any other pel. but I have found they will not take as much sun as a regular Zonal. The color on the leaves fad.

I just noticed yesterday she has a bud forming, so I will wait to see what color it will be in a few days. I will keep her out of full afternoon sun,

Sue, I have seen it both ways. Might be a typo but I have seen Mrs or Mr. but sure they are the same plant.

I think typo is right, I have seen Mr. on geranium society and club listings and figured they would have it right as opposed to a nursery.

I was looking at the Select Seeds online catalog today, and they said that Velma Cox was sometimes called Mrs. Henry Cox.

According to the International Register of Pelargonium Cultivars, Velam Cox is an unsupported cultivar name, part of a list of "cultivar names have been recorded without attribution or description and additional information.
