I bought these at the grocery store today ... all the tags say is mini rose. Does anyone recognize this? The picture was take with incandescent light so the real color is a bright deep red.![]() "The world is a dangerous place to live; not because of the people who are evil, but because of the people who don't do anything about it." It's probably one of the Poulsen minis, but there are so many that it's hard to identify them. Sometimes there's a pot inside the outer pot, and the inner pot is stamped with the name of the rose. The Poulsen site is difficult, and sometimes impossible, to navigate, but this should bring you to a page where you can look at their Palace series. http://www.poulsenroser.com/as... If you don't find the rose there, you can look through the Parade series. http://www.poulsenroser.com/as... It's likely to be in one of those two series, but the Patio Hit series is another possibility. http://www.poulsenroser.com/as... |

Wow .. thanks for all your trouble! It's appreciated. "The world is a dangerous place to live; not because of the people who are evil, but because of the people who don't do anything about it." Albert Einstein |
This one looks like a possible candidate: http://www.poulsenroser.com/as... |

I got the same one at the grocery store. All of the roses had the same generic mini rose label and same UPC code. I was told that some of Moore's minatures are being sold frequently unlabeled. I thought it may be a Moore striped mini, Pinstripe. Rose (Rosa 'Pinstripe') It could also be Poulsen's Nidia. The blooms are extremely long lived. The plant is healthier than other minis I have tried to grow from the grocery store. |

I had Pinstripe. The flowers are like the size of a nickel. Didn't survive a particular winter & haven't gotten another one as it was just toooooooooooo teeny!! I still actually have a dried Pinstripe here at my office. Roses are one of my passions! Just opened, my Etsy shop (to fund my rose hobby)! http://www.etsy.com/shop/Tweet... |

My mini striped rose is in a big pot growing roots right now. I really like it, hope it survives the winter. |

I think I can rule out the 'Pinstrip' ID. The petals in the photo of your rose reflex more sharply when the bloom is open than 'Pinstripe' and I think the foliage is diffent. My plant has blooms that are about 1 1/2" when open and the plant is about 2' tall. Here are a few photos I took this spring. Smiles, Lyn ![]() ![]() ![]() It's hard to see the plant in the above photo, but it is the only plant with any red in it in the photo ![]() I'd rather weed than dust ... the weeds stay gone longer. |

That's definitely a different form. "The world is a dangerous place to live; not because of the people who are evil, but because of the people who don't do anything about it." Albert Einstein |

Wow, Lyn, that looks exactly like the mini I've been calling Charlie Brown! ![]() Remember that children, marriages, and flower gardens reflect the kind of care they get. H. Jackson Brown, Jr. |

Cindi ... Charlie Brown is a micro mini. It is much, much smaller plant and the blooms are only 1/2", although the registration says that the bloom size is 1 1/2", I have never seen a bloom that size on any of the CB plants I've handled. CB also has yellow tones in its striping. Pinstripe is the pollen parent of Charlie Brown, which is why you may some similarities. The Charlie Brown I have is also a micro mini with smaller blooms, although I have really never noticed much yellow tone. But still a lovely rose. |
