Looks like Virginia Creeper (Parthenocissus quinquefolia) to me. wildflowersoftexas.com texasnatureonline.com |

Hi Jared. My eyes aren't what they used to be. Could it be one of the Virginia Creepers? http://garden.org/plants/searc... The sap from the cut stems can cause an allergic rash for some people. It has never bothered me though. |

The one that I have here has wonderful fall colors. Now to call out the people that are really good at seeing the finer details that help to determine which of the Virginia Creepers yours is. @Horntoad @JRsbugs @KentPfeiffer And anyone else that can help pin this one down. ![]() |

Definitely looks like Parthenocissus of some type. P. quinquefolia has limited range in SD if this is correct: http://plants.usda.gov/java/co... Here's another that's said to be in SD: http://plants.jamesvalleynurse... and there are a couple with photo's in the database: http://garden.org/plants/searc... ~ Playing in the dirt is my therapy ... and I'm in therapy a lot! ~ |
