Thank you for this thread. It confirms the many reasons to join a club or maybe two. We have a great time at our meetings, Piedmont Daylily Club, Charlotte, NC. We have several hybridizers as members, which are eager to share information and during the past couple of years two Stout Medal receipents. Highly recommend joining AHS. Can't wait to receive the Daylily Journal and Region 15 Hemilina and of course going to our meetings.

I love my Daylily Journals. They are the only magazines I dont tear out what I want and throw the rest away. They have great pictures and articles, and I refer to mine often.

Coldlime, I just returned from a trip to Cornell Veterinary School. While in downtown Ithaca I noticed a message board in one of the shops that had a flyer that mentioned a daylily meeting. I am not sure if it is associated with the AHS. Might try a Google search. Also Cornell has a Horticultural Dept. they may have some info on local activities.
