We have an entry for Cleome hassleriana (Spider Flower (Tarenaya hassleriana) ) plus several entries for various cultivars of Cleome hassleriana, and one entry for Cleome spinosa (Spiderflower (Tarenaya spinosa)) . I'm not sure which is the accepted name, but one appears to be a synonym of the other. Anyone know which is correct?

Neither, they've apparently both been moved into the genus Tarenaya.

Sigh. Would someone please stop rearranging the furniture? So does that mean that the name will be changed in our database?

That would be antithetical to the nature of science, so I'm not sure why you would wish for that. At any rate, they've been updated (by zuzu I'd guess). Thanks for asking the question. Thumbs up

Joke, Kent. Hilarious! I have no problem with the quest for precision in an imprecise world!
