What I think we need to do is to have the group of us sign a petition to the sedum society to put us under their umbrella. Maybe we could do that at the clinic. Until then let's keep thinking about a plan B too. In this electronic age we could do our own thing too.

Manuel Werner is a European gentleman, not too old as I figure from the pictures of his children. His English was a little fractured but not all that bad and of course Google translates. He is obviously computer/web site literate -- here, I found the reference I copied:

P.S. Kevin, you've been in the "business" probably longer than anyone else here. Do you know any Europeans that can be included in this conversation and started on the "ground floor" as it were? Whether or not they are officer material, it would widen the network. It seems to me it would be good to find someone able to set up an independent web site -- or perhaps at least a semi-independent forum under ATP?

Lynn, Just read your biography of Peter Diekmann. He was far too young to have passed away -- and from what you have shared, was already heading up an unofficial Sempervivum Society.

Are you part of the "team" continuing to compile his Sempervivum "Liste?" Is this the place to continue building in order to have a "full-service" Society?

We have not created a society here in the U.S. But, I do work with Beatrix Bodmeier from the https://sempervivum-liste.de in Germany. We work to keep cultivar names correct and not duplicated. So far it has been successful. The team there is wonderful to work with. They also have a FB page. https://www.facebook.com/group...

Hi Lynn thanks for sharing this. I've just started/ trying to really get into growing and trying to cross. Haven't crossed anything yet no flowers yet hehe, but I've been looking into and watching every YouTube video on them.
