As are so many of my Aroidian plants, this plant was inspired by a real aroid, Zamioculcas zamiifolia, or the ZZ plant. The single and most important difference between the ZZ plant and Pinnatidendron is the massive size of the latter. As primary fixtures on all Aroidian biological archipelagoes, they can reach 100 meters or taller in height! Click on the picture for a much larger view of Pinnatidendron.

Aaron - Perhaps the oldest plant genus is the Cycas and that includes the Sago Palm. It is in the Cycad family and is not an Aroid.
