Kasperek's Millenium Falcon just blew me away, and was one of the reasons I started seriously collecting irises. I loved the blues in that iris. Hasn't bloomed lately.

Totally_Amazing said: Evelyn, My bIoom season is a couple of months away and I have decided to go for stripes and spots this year. I want to make some crosses with "Celestial Explosion" and I want to make some with "Impulsive". I am also hoping that "My Tasha" will flower for the first time this year so I can go for some blended crosses with pale edges. The year before last, I went for broken patterns and I made a few crosses with "Silver Streak".

Do you have a picture of "My Tasha"?

I purchased My Tasha at the end of last year and I am hoping it will flower for the first time this year. Crossing Fingers! I want to see those red beards. The rhizomes I received were medium size with few roots and it may not flower until next year.

Robin ~ Thank You!

It's always fun to see if they really match the picture. Smiling

I have a little dog who came with the name Tasha. One reason to put My Tasha on next year's list.

Does anyone in the US sell Rainbow Ridge irises? I haven't been able to find any sellers in Europe, although a few seem to have one or two older Grosvenor irises.

Today I found a cluster of small iris plants in one of the garden beds - I guess a bee pod that fell off! It'll be interesting to see what develops - I'll have to thin them apart as they are really clumped together.

Sorry Jan - My Tasha may be hard to find in USA. Mid America seem to sell the odd Rainbow Ridge iris. For example, "Purposeful" is a 2013 release.

You are so lucky to find some iris babies Mika Thumbs up

I hope you don't mind me digging up and old thread.

I have decided to try the soaking method for some of my seeds this year (I am too scared to try it on all of them in case I stuff it up). Should I let my seeds dry out for a few days before soaking them or start soaking them on the day I cracked the pod open?
