I came across this Agave in our nursery this morning, with spectacular and never before seen blooms. Any idea of what it could be? I know the pictures are not great but it was the best I could do at the time.

I'm not sure myself. If the OP doesn't mind, I could try asking on another gardening website (if that's not against policy). They also have a C&S forum and I think a couple folks "specialize" in Agaves.

Could this possibly be Furcraea foetida?

Can you give a close up of the leaves? Any patterns?

Are the tips very sharp and pokey?

The tips are pointed but not terribly sharp. I am satisfied (after doing some research) that this is most likely Furcraea foetida.
