This is new? What a great idea. I love fungi, if its not on me! We have some weird ones here in TX, but I'll have to wait until spring to take pictures. Anyone grow mushrooms in heir basement for eating?
Thank You!

Here are my only photos for fungi.

The city planted new trees using chipped up tree branches as mulch.
This huge Fungi from outer space grew in August 2012.

Hi, Everyone! Group hug

TY Dave for adding the Fungi Forum! So glad to see I'm not alone .. gee, you guys beat me to my own 'request'! Thank You!

I guess you either love 'em or hate 'em, but Fungi is all around us .. and I'm glad we don't have microscopic vision, that'd be 'it' for me n Fungi then! Crying

Anyway, I love all types .. creepy or not .. and especially the edible ones .. in rich butter sauce with a dash of red wine &/or garlic .. no, no, that's for another topic!

Here's my 1st 2 pics. .. a big mushroom shaped Fungi that sprung up, after recent long awaited rain, in the home-made compost spread under some Tortured Willows.
It measured about 12 inches across (or 30cm here) & was about 4 inches high .. several others came up near-by but I only got these 2 photos. I have no idea of the variety. Shrug!

Love the pics posted so far Thank You! .. I'll add some more later.

Glad I found this sight. Although we have plenty of wild mushrooms growing around my place, I'd like to start growing using my own homemade medium. My Father In Law who lived in the UK had a special shed attached to his potting shed to grow mushrooms in. I guess this is quite common in England. My Wife said he always had a good crop. Like to try it. Roy
