That's cool, Ian. I don't see any names even similar to what you want to name one of your seedlings. There is one called 'A Whole Lotta Ripples and there are 315 with the word "sunshine" in it.

Not sure when you made your cross and how long you want to evaluate it before registering, but names can be reserved in case you want to make sure it doesn't get taken. Here's a link to that page on the AHS site:

Vickie ~ I made that cross over the summer, their seedlings have just started sprouting in the basement under grow lights. It may be a couple years...possibly a few before I register them.

Thank You! for the help by the way (the link). I tip my hat to you.

Not only people give others signs, but plants do too.

Use the link that Vickie gave you to check if a daylily name you plan on using is available. They are the authority on daylily matters. I will add some of mine when I get the time this winter.

So, because I enjoy wading through reams of Daylily photos ( don't we all?), I'm returning for another comb through the Alphabet Threads as I have stupid amounts of stuff coming... and stuff that never made it on in the first place! Like...

All American Chief does great here, hope you enjoy it as much as I have.

You touch the warm, moist earth and it feels so good — so good. You want to be — you hope you are — one half as useful as an earthworm. ~Ruth Stout
