The simple, clean look of Dallas Star really is nice. And Decatur Cherry Smash is very pretty too.

The only photo I have of one of my Ds is Dr Jules Michael Vinkman, which is pinker than this in real life:
Thumb of 2020-01-11/mljohnson19/cbe578

But I bought a few more last year that will hopefully bloom this summer, including Defying Gravity because my daughter loves the music from Wicked, and Dust Bunny because she loves doubles and thought the name was hilarious.

True story for a smile. I was walking my friend Kris around my yard showing her my daylilies, because the image of a daylily in her head was Stella de Oro. She didn't understand pink, purple, near whites, near blacks... tall, etc. She was ok with yellow and red, but everything else was somewhere between useless and offensive to her. And being a true friend, when she saw something she didn't like, she let me know about it. Well, right next to Dagobah Mist I have a clump of Nile Crane (Munson) with a similar look and color scheme. When Kris walked by, she wouldn't even turn her head toward them. She just pointed at them on the way by and angrily said "NO!" and kept walking until she saw nearby her favorite daylily in the whole yard... Black-eyed Stella.

So. Dagobah Mist. Not everyone's cup of tea, but I like it, and it's a good parent if your working with oversized centers like that.

I actually love Dagobah Mist too, but 'different strokes for different folks' they say, lol! I have 'Rolling Circles' which has that large, lighter eye like Dagobah Mist and just love it. Can't wait until it becomes a clump.

I can see why your friend was drawn to Black-Eyed Stella. I have Fooled Me, which is a taller and larger bloom than Black-Eyed Stella, but very similar in coloring and I absolutely love it.

I'm pretty sure only a woman would get that opinionated over a flower color. Hilarious!

Agreed. My friend liked everything between Yellow-Orange and Orange-Yellow (now Dandelion) in the crayola box. She liked Goldner's Honolulu Fruit (unregistered) and Black Eyed Susan as well. Almost everything else was just wrong, though. Smiling

Thanks again Mike. Dynamic Delight bloomed for me in 2017,
and I have not seen a bloom since. Hoping it will bloom this year.
Almost lost it, but two fans have grown to blooming size. Hurray!

All other plants shown are very prolific growers.
