Wintertime Is Chickweed Time

Whenever I give a talk to a garden club or group of master gardeners, I always make sure to spend a few minutes talking about one of my favorite plants, chickweed. Every person needs to know about this useful (and deliciously edible) plant.

I've used chickweed for its medicinal value in the form of teas, salves, and oils. I knew it was edible, but some of the edible weeds are not the best tasting things I've ever eaten. Your endorsement of chickweed flavor has me considering a wild munch test! Thank you for the article!
It's all about recycling the WEEDS of our daily life!
