Man, y'all have two shows in the Fort Lauderdale/Miami area back-to-back. The Tamiami International Orchid Festival is Jan. 17-18, followed by the Fort Lauderdale Orchid Society "An Orchid Adventure" on Jan. 23-25. Then on May 15-17, you have the Redland International Orchid Festival in Homestead. What fun. I know I would lose my mind and buy everything I could cram into the SUV if I were there.

Y'all just don't know how lucky you are. Thumbs up

Oh, I think we know, Ken. There are shows in Tampa and Sarasota every year too. We have Greenfest at the U. Of Tampa on the last weekend of March and the spring plant sale at USF the second weekend of April. The Tampa Bay Orchid Society has a big spring sale and the Tampa Orchid Club has an Orchid Auction every year. I have two very nice orchid nurseries within 15 minutes of my house and that's not counting Apopka. There are no shortage of orchids to buy around here.

Not to mention Venice, Englewood and Naples each have a show in the spring. I've had to restrain myself from shopping too much as there are a number of orchid growers inland of me here, plus Plantio la Orquidea right in town, and Palmer Orchids up in Parrish.

I got a couple of nice buys at the Venice show last year, but will be away meeting my new grandchild for this year's show.
