I was hoping to order Geode this year....sadly it's one of the ones they discontinued. Sad Aitken's Salmon Creek still carries but I'm not sure I want to add another order with yet another vendor since the shipping fees add up.

No catalog here, but the mail was not delivered again yesterday. We have 2 days to go before the next Snow. We bought Molten Lava last year so hope to see it in the spring.

We in our part of the West Coast, just got 6 inches of very welcome rain dumped on us!
Loving all your photos Brad. I've ordered a few of these - Oxford Countess comes to mind.

Marilyn, I know what you mean about the postage piling up. I ordered from 7 different vendors
this year, and I know I'd have gotten more bonuses too if I'd just picked one. But I spread the $
around. Mostly small orders of about 5, except for one fairly big one. And I haven't even gotten a
Mid-America catalog yet!
let the mystery be

Hi Guys we are just getting back to the real world of frozen Iowa and it is quite the change in scenery from Ocean waves and palm trees Thumbs down I hope the pictures above helped with those orders everyone has been sending in Rolling on the floor laughing and it looks like that set got Rob drooling again Big Grin so mission accomplished.

Tom... I really liked both of those too you got for bonus (One Step Beyond) glows in the sunlight looking forward to seeing it bloom this year.

Jan... That's great news for California.. How close are you to Santa Cruz did they get a bunch as well.

One of the highlights of visiting Superstition is getting to see all there wonderful seedlings they have and look at what projects they are working on and of course Green Grin! I found some real beauties growing in there seedling beds now if we can just convince them to give the majority of these a name we can really get excited. Once again hard to pick a favorite but the Orange one row 8 would look really good growing in my garden at Home Smiling and I don't have anything else like it so if I only got to chose 1 it gets my Vote.

Mary Ann,

The one you refer to reminds me of a modern form of the old Gibson plicata line. I guess the most famous was probably KILT LILT, but he put out a lot them and many had this sort of attractive pattern.

Welcome back, Brad. Smiling

Favorites for me. Like this first one because, for some reason, the pattern reminds me of a whirlpool

I think the pattern has been called several things - sanded, speckled and peppered come to mind. Now I think sanded might be used to refer to a pattern that is more evenly distributed across the falls like TANZANIAN TANGERINE or Tasco's SPLASHACATA. Not sure though. I think when Gibson produced his they simply called them 'fancy plicatas'. Of the ones I grew, I think I liked AUTUMN ECHO the best. LADY FIRE was a nice bloom, but stayed too short and KILT LILT was just too hard to keep alive.
