Saw these beautiful plants at a local King Soopers (part of the Kroger family). Lady in the floral dept had no idea what they were, just "Foxtail". Uh, that's not too helpful. LOLL!! Some kind of amaranthus?![]() Roses are one of my passions! Just opened, my Etsy shop (to fund my rose hobby)! http://www.etsy.com/shop/Tweet... |

Looks like a variety of Celosia Wheatstraw Celosia (Celosia spicata 'Cramer's Amazon') Cockscomb (Cristata Group) (Celosia argentea 'Cramer's Burgundy') Celosia argentea 'Intenz Classic' ~ Playing in the dirt is my therapy ... and I'm in therapy a lot! ~ |

Linda - That's what I was thinking when I first saw them, but the only "Foxtail" I found that was even kinda sorta not really close was the amaranth. But Cock's Comb does look more like it! Thank you! Now I know it won't grow for me.. LOLLL Roses are one of my passions! Just opened, my Etsy shop (to fund my rose hobby)! http://www.etsy.com/shop/Tweet... |

I guess I noticed it because my husband teaches at an Aeronautical University and I spotted the plane and was curious. ![]() ~ Playing in the dirt is my therapy ... and I'm in therapy a lot! ~ |
