I have these plants growing in the windowsill at work. Two were started from cuttings I took from downtown potted plants before they were cleared out by the city hort staff.

I really like the yellow green one. It frequently brightens my day during this cold dreary winter.

I love them for the same reason. They brighten every window where we have them growing.

Is that lime color one pleasantly fuzzy? Looks like one I had before that was.

If you're also curious, that's cool. No significance to that, AFAIK, just making conversation. Smiling But if anyone has any interesting observations about fuzzy Coleus vs. non-fuzzy Coleus, I'm all ears (or eyes?)

The yellow coleus is not fuzzy leaf, as far as I can tell.

All the plants are growing nicely and will have to cut back growth and make more plants.

Do deer avoid coleus, or am I making snacks for them? Hahaha

Joseph - the deer do not like coleus at all. Have fun growing them.

Here are more views of the purple ones. I like the coleus flowers, so I let them stay on the plants, contrary to the advice I usually get from others to remove the inflorescence stems.

Pretty colors! It's generally recommended to remove the flowers since they sap the strength of the plant.

The mother plants were huge and vigorous that were growing in the big pots on the street. They all were adorned with their flower stems.

I think coleus people are divided into two camps: either have to remove every bloom or they enjoy the blooms.

If left on, butterflies & bees love the flowers. They're pretty cheery to me too when Coleus comes inside. I've not noticed any difference between plants with removed flowers vs. those left alone.
