...but oh those sneaky marketers. Do you think the photos at these links are all of the same variety @dave, @stilldew, @jon, @ge1836 ?? http://www.gpnmag.com/main-str... http://www.dummengroup.com/pat... http://www.ffsp.net/varieties/... http://www.greenhousegrower.co... Evan |
The second and fourth link contain the same photo. The images all seem to match this cultivar. Variations in color would be lighting and camera settings, is my guess. |
Thanks Dave. Now to decide which Trade name to use. ![]() Evan |
I agree, they all look the same. |

I agree with Dave. The variations in color are due to cameras and light. |
Thanks Sue, Jo Ann. I ended up using Red Fox as the Series and the Mainstreet Wall Street™ as the trade name. They look like a nice lineup... http://garden.org/plants/brows... Evan |
These were trialed in East Texas at the Overton Agrilife extension service trial gardens. They handled the Texas heat and sun, shrugging off the harsh elements. Many of them were grown under shade cloths, of course. |
Evan, since you found the series and cultivar name, UF12-35-9, this one is missing the correct one: Coleus (Coleus scutellarioides Red Fox Mainstreet Rodeo Drive™) |
Sue, I haven't found a cultivar name for Rodeo Drive. It's also the only one Dummen shows as not being Patent Pending. Hopefully it will show up in time. Evan |

The camera doesnt do the color justice. Its a magnificent red that graduates to a purple center . |
