A database that is supposed to contain the native plants of Uganda.
I'm trying things such as subterranean flowering plants, but no matches yet.
A challenging task, as I'm not sure what Family of Plants that it is a member of yet.

the Protea is not, it is a plant of the jungle forest

|Protea decurrens is an erect shrub. The above flowers are forming subterraneally and opening at ground level.|

Once back in the forest, we see these flowers coming out directly from the ground. They are used by locals as a remedy for ear infections
I wish they would name them!

I found one called "Thorning gay flower" which is similar .. but it doesn't help!
