We went to Home Goods after lunch..just intending to walk around..as always..will find something that will catch my eye, and ended up going home with me.
Fell in love with this container called Featherock:

There is a drainage hole below..but entire container is really porous..pumice.


I watered the container just to see how fast it drains..I love it! Perfect for succulents! Repotted some plants this afternoon. Chose these Crassula perforata, and Semp 'Kalinda' and Sedum rubrotinctum leaf ..all these three are veterans of my garden year round.


Semp 'Kalinda' is such a prolific offset producer, so I hope it will increase later and latch on to the the grooves of the rock container.

The very rough texture would surely deter the snails too woohoo! I am still trying to see where to really place it in my garden..for now it will be like a centerpiece on the glass table.

A friend of mine carves beautiful containers and statues out of this material, and I also have several.

Wow, I love this!!! I've only seen things like this made out of plastic and looking really cheesy. I want one! Was it expensive?

A bit pricey, like compared to typical clay pots for sure. I got it for $39.99 and the Home Goods tag says compare it to $70.00..I hope it is indeed a good price cut! Next price point is at $59 to 79.

Hetty, can you take photos of your Featherock too??? I want to see other shapes and plants being planted in it
