Trish, you said you didn't like the coir liners because they dry out so fast, in that article, Joanna recommends lining them with a heavy plastic, this is what I plan to try this year.

I was thinking the same thing. I do that and it works really well especially for the ones under the trees. I know some gardeners who put diapers as liners.
